About Us

What we offer

We support your adventures, whatever form they take. It might be as simple as a tiny equipment purchase, repair or adjustment, to a lifelong mentored epic of a transformational  journey to becoming a different being altogether, incorporating all the support and hardware along the way. From a simple puncture on a kids bike to a decade long intercontinental expedition, we can help you help yourself. We nurture and develop minds as well supply good “stuff” to enhance your experience.

Our Business

We are mobile, we like to move. We often come to you or operate remotely. Based in beautiful Perthshire, at Bloomfield, Perth Road, Abernethy, Scotland, PH2 9LW. We can at times meet you at our base by appointment only, we do not have opening hours. Sole Director is Kyle Strachan, owner of Kyle Strachan Enterprises, trading as Bloomfield Bikes.

Website Prices

We keep the website as up to date as is possible. It’s advisable to contact us directly to ensure you’re buying the correct product. Web prices are shown including VAT at the applicable rate. Delivery costs (if applicable) are shown when you view your full basket and when you start the checkout process. We sometimes deliver ourselves or use an external courier.

Our Ordering Process

Ordering through our website is easy. Add items to your basket then proceed to the checkout. During the checkout process you will be asked for your contact details, billing address and delivery address. You may also enter your own order notes that will be seen by us when we receive your order.

Once you have entered your details you will be asked to make a payment through our payment provider. When this is completed we will send an order acknowledgement to confirm that we have received your order.

A binding agreement will come into being between us upon our despatch of the goods you have ordered to you. Due to the way in which the payment mechanism works, we may debit your payment method when you place your order. If we do not accept your order, we will promptly refund any payments taken.

 

Delivery

We prefer to ensure any bicycle purchased is correctly sized to the rider, so collection form base is advised, or meeting on delivery if we’re delivering personally. Bikes boutht with out us seeing the rider on them can incur additional delays and complications. We endeavour to deliver goods without undue delay and in any case within 30 days of accepting your order, usually much quicker. In the unlikely event that we have not delivered your goods you can give us a written delivery deadline after the estimated date has passed and then cancel the order if we do not deliver by that date. If we fail to deliver goods on a specific date agreed with you, you can cancel and claim a refund.

If your order consists of a variety of goods, some of which we fail to deliver on time, you have the right, as an alternative to ending the contract, to cancel that part of the order or return goods that have already been delivered. We will then reimburse you without undue delay for the goods that have been cancelled or rejected. If the goods form part of a commercial unit that would be devalued or have its character changed if they were split up, you can only cancel the order for the goods or reject them as a whole.

The goods that we deliver to you remain at our risk until they come into your physical possession or the physical possession of the person that you have asked us to deliver the goods to. Therefore if our carrier fails to deliver the goods, or delivers them to the wrong address, this is our responsibility and we will do everything we can to rectify this.

Cancelling Your Order (goods)

If you do not wish to proceed with your order, you may withdraw your order at any time and for any reason prior to our despatch of the goods. Upon receiving your request we will promptly refund any payments taken in full within 28 days.

You have the right to cancel your order at any time and for any reason within the cancellation period. The cancellation period is 28 days, starting the day after the day you take possession of your entire order. You must not delay the return of the goods and should send them back within 14 days of informing us of your decision to cancel at your own expense. We will refund the cost of your goods and the cost of basic delivery within 28 days of us receiving your returned goods or receiving proof of their return. Please note that if you expressly requested a delivery method that is more expensive than our basic cost we will only refund you the basic delivery cost.

We cannot accept cancellations where you:

  • unseal goods that are not suitable for return if they are unsealed, due to health protection or hygiene reasons

  • unseal audio, video recordings or computer software that were sealed at the time of delivery

  • combine goods with other goods after delivery so that they become inseparable

 

We cannot accept cancellations for the supply of:

  • goods that are made to the your specification or are personalised or modified

  • goods that are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly

  • goods specifically advertised or marked as non refundable/returnable.

You can exercise your right to cancel your order by using our cancellation form or by contacting us using the details above. You must send your request before the end of the cancellation period, however we may receive your request outside of the cancellation period.

 

Cancelling Your Order (Services)

If you do not wish to proceed with your order(services), you may withdraw your order at any time and for any reason prior to our departure of the first session. Upon receiving your request we will promptly refund any payments taken in full within 28 days, provided your cancellation is received 60 days prior to the arranged date. Cancelling after the 60 day period will result in a zero refund. We can at our discretion offer to reschedule, however this may not be possible.

We cannot accept cancellations where you/we:

  • Have requested specific equipment or itinerates tailored to your order.

  • Have arranged external support or goods for your order including transportation, accommodation etc of persons or equipment.

  • Any service specifically advertised or marked as non refundable/returnable

 

You can exercise your right to cancel your order by contacting us using the details above. You must send your request before the end of the cancellation period, however we may receive your request outside of the cancellation

Your Consumer Rights

It is our responsibility to supply you with goods and services that meet your consumer rights. If you have any concerns that we have not met our legal obligations please contact us.

If goods are faulty, then you have the legal right to one of the following remedies:

  • refund

  • replacement or repair

  • reduction in the purchase price

You do not have the legal right to any remedy for problems:

  • caused by you damaging or misusing the goods, accidently or otherwise

  • caused by your own attempts to repair the goods

  • you knew about before you bought the goods

Sale/discounted/end of line/used Items

All items marked down as sale items on the website or in-person are non-returnable and non-refundable. Some items are “sold as seen” and need to be appropriately assessed, by you, for your intended use and suitability for that use. Please bear this in mind before you purchase any of these products. Items on sale/end of line/discounted will normally not be subject to our buy back and warranty as on full price items. This applies to all of our used items unless stated otherwise. If you are in any doubt please ask for our guidance prior to purchase.
